Frank's Basement Systems

Foundation Repair Video

Basement walls and foundations provide support for your home and so much more. If they become cracked, bowed, or sink, ignoring the problem could lead to many homeowner headaches. Water could accumulate; first floor windows and doors might not work properly, and upstairs walls could begin to show cracks. The professionals at Frank's Basement Systems can solve your basement wall and foundation problems so you won't have to worry about structural weakness ever again. Since 1985, Frank's foundation

experts have helped thousands of Western New Yorkers restore their basement walls and foundations to their original strong condition. Our service philosophy is simple – treat customers the way we want to be treated.

There can be many reasons for failure such as not enough strength in the wall to control outside freezing and icing, not enough rebar, the wrong size block, inadequate settling time when the house was built, soil problems, or not enough support to handle the full load of the house.

Because we don't believe "one-size-fits-all," Frank's Basement Systems has just as many possible solutions. As Buffalo's basement wall specialists, we'll make a thorough

assessment of every part of your home's foundation and help you evaluate your options. Our field inspectors will look for vertical and horizontal movement, test the ground soil, evaluate the existing drainage situation, and determine the severity of the problem. If the situation seems to require a larger-than-normal repair, we'll even provide a drawing from a

structural engineer. Depending upon our inspection, we may then recommend that you repair, brace, or replace the wall.

We offer many state-of-the-art repair options. Depending upon the extent of the damage, we may be able to stabilize the wall sufficiently enough to prevent future damage. If cracks have already begun to show in a poured wall, we may recommend an epoxy injection that will chemically weld the crack and the wall back together.

We have every engineered method of bracing a wall if replacement is not necessary. We may recommend installing angle iron, I-beams or pilasters. Or, we may suggest using tie-backs, state-of-the-art carbon fiber bands or angle iron to hold blocks or poured walls together to build strength. We also have structural solutions for homes that may be sinking or have already settled.

Customer Testimonial:

"Frank's landscaping and drainage did an excellent job on my cellar walls, they were starting to buckle really bad and needed to be done. The walls are now in excellent shape, they did a wonderful job and his workers were so professional and polite."

If we feel that we've exhausted all options, or that the wall has moved to the point where it is no longer safe, we may recommend total replacement. If you're considering selling your home, however, it may even be a more cost-efficient investment to rebuild a wall than to repair it because the "like-new" appearance would add to your home's resale value. Please note that if a wall has to be replaced, every town in Western New York requires a structural engineer drawing and a building permit.

We're so confident of our work, you receive a thirty year warranty against future problems that can be transferred to any new owners. But, if you ever do have any concerns with a new wall we build, just call and we guarantee a 24 hour callback from our world-class service department and, if needed, we'll be at your home within 48 hours. Or you can call Frank directly and he'll be glad to answer any questions you may have!
